This week Pre-Intermediate B was hit by some tough grammar points. We had to recall what we had studied such as irregular verbs and present perfect to learn past perfect, passive voice, the adverbs already, yet, just and still and reported speech. ‘Have you learnt all the irregular verbs yet?’ ‘I’m still trying to master them.’ ‘Remember, the teacher told us that we would study them in these units.’

As well as challenging grammar points, we talked about science topics. ‘Do you know how spiders walk on ceilings?’ We also learned common expressions: ‘Why were you up so late?’ ‘I thought you were going to call me back.’ ‘Is she away on holiday?’
