G’day and happy Australia Day! We celebrate our country’s day on the 26th January each year. On this day, people are outside; swimming, playing ball games, and having BBQs with mates and family. Lamb, Aussie flags and beer are synonymous with Australia Day (and so was Triple J’s Hottest 100 until recently). The day originally began as a commemoration for the first landing of the British fleet in 1788, but nowadays it serves to celebrate Australia’s diversity, harmony and identity. So get together with music, food and drinks, and enjoy what makes this country great.
