Yet another very exciting intermediate class this week, starting with a topic on ‘houses’. We talked about where people live and different types of accommodation, as well as how places have changed over the years. Then we moved on to the ‘going out’ unit. Everything from films, exhibitions, plays and books to music and other various forms of entertainment, were discussed in class. There were animated debates about the best type of music with some students vying for rock to take out the top spot, and others insisting that RnB was by far the best choice. We delved into some useful grammar points about interrupted past plans and absorbed (we hope) a huge amount of vocabulary that students can apply to real life situations.
