Week 2 of term 8 was busy and challenging for Intermediate A, with a lot of grammar and vocabulary to cover including future plans, present perfect continuous and present perfect simple, places of interest, weather vocabulary, disaster tourism, and even vocabulary about music. Expanding ones vocabulary is a huge step in improving student’s English. We started the week by learning how to express feelings with a variety of new vocabulary words for example, instead of saying that you’re really tired, say that you’re exhausted, and then of course you can replace sad with upset and furious rather than angry. So, next time you see an intermediate A student, ask them how they’re doing, see if they use their new vocabulary to answer you.
