This week Intermediate B broadened their knowledge of injuries and illnesses, as well as learning about news and events. Graphic drawings of ailments from the eighteenth century made us ever more thankful for modern day medicine, and reading a variety of newspapers demonstrated the different categories of reported events. Within these units, students mastered vocabulary for symptoms and diagnoses, along with terminology for headlines and current affairs. The grammar tools which were taught included: adverbs, relative clauses and all forms of reported speech. This consistent language improvement has motivated many students to continue studying towards the Cambridge and/or IELTS tests.
Best wishes!
