This Week in Upper Intermediate B

Birth, death, marriage, divorce, bank accounts, loans, overdrafts, Paypass, Food!
Phew. A varied week in Upper Intermediate B1 this week. We learnt the important stuff (that we needed to know but wasn’t very exciting) then we did the super awesome stuff like food, food and more food. We finished up with a very interesting discussion about death and how it is perceived in different cultures. Some students were very surprised when they learnt about the smoked corpses of Papua New Guinea and the fact that in Australia it is legal to bury someone in your backyard, but only if you have more than 5 hectares of land. Apart from this, students were studying hard for their end of term final exams which are coming up very soon. We wish them good luck!
