Upper Intermediate Social Media Class

Upper-intermediate were the first students to participate in a Social Media focus class this term. Looking at everything from Instagram to Facebook and Pinterest, the class culminated in a big research project involving The Fred Hollows Foundation, Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), Orange Sky and an organisation known as APOPO. The students presented their information to the class and discussed how these charities were using social media effectively. Our Managing Directors Simon and Jun were completely WOWED with how fantastic the presentations were. The group that gave the best presentation would get a $150 prize from Simon and Jun to donate to their charity, however the class collectively decided to forego the competition and instead voted to donate this money to APOPO. Never heard of this amazing charity? Never heard of the Hero Rats and the super awesome work they do? Check out this link https://www.apopo.org/en/
