Inforum Upper Intermediate students went to the Hilton Hotel in Surfers Paradise
to gather information for their business analysis project and presentation.
Even though the purpose was work-related, the students also had a fantastic time
with their classmates and teachers!
The students were given a unique opportunity to add to their understanding of business practices during their visit to the Hilton.
They were able to talk directly with management, and at the same time,
experience the luxury that this five star hotel has to offer!
Stacey, the Hilton Functions Manager, greeted us at Reception, and took us up
to the 15th floor, where we had a most spectacular view of Surfers Paradise.
Making the most of the location, the students took plenty of photographs!
Next, we were treated to some lovely refreshments before learning all about
the hotel’s operations through an interesting and informative presentation
by Hilton staff. Thank you so much Stacey, Mandy, and James!
The students were then given a guided tour of the stunning Hilton hotel.
They visited the beautiful pool and relaxation areas;
the elegant restaurants and bars;
and the function rooms and conference venues:
By the end of the tour, the students’ notebooks were loaded with information,
and they had answers to all of their questions about the Hilton hotel.
All of the students delivered entertaining and informative presentations,
and we were really impressed.
Well done guys!!
