Reading is a skill that can be hard to develop. When we have the opportunity to study English at an Australian English language school like Inforum Education, it can be a great time to practice reading, especially if you are on an exam course like IELTS, B2 First, or C1 Advanced. Let’s think about the three main ways to improve our reading.
- Understand and re-evaluate your current reading.
A really great way to improve reading is to choose texts that you are unfamiliar with and expand your range.
- Improve your vocabulary
Reading relies on understanding vocabulary, context and the interaction of words. As you read, make lists of new or unfamiliar words.
- Read for pleasure
The best way to improve your reading is through practice, and the best way to practice is to have fun with it. So try reading for pleasure!
