Last Friday Inforum had a guest speaker, Lucia Fouche. She is an Environmental Educator with more than 20 years experience. She currently works for Natura Education based on the Gold Coast that is involved in environmental issue and recycling, and teaches the Wipe Out Waste program for the Gold Coast City Council. Lucia particularly enjoys educating the community about the environment and waste reduction.
She talked to us about how worm farming is a great way to reduce waste. Our guest speaker explained to Inforum students the different things that worms can and cannot eat, and how they use worms to recycling food scraps and produce an organic fertilizer to then put back into background when growing plants and vegetables. It was extremely interesting.
