Burleigh Heads – August2009

Last Friday was a lovely afternoon to stroll around one of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful and famous landmarks…Burleigh Heads.  Burleigh surfing break is well known around the world and the national park is a fantastic place to do some exercise and appreciate nature at it’s best.  It was an absolutely clear day and we were able to see south to Rainbow Bay (another famous surfing spot) and north to Stradbroke Island.   We also managed to chat to a couple of the locals, including a sunbaking blue tongue lizard, a lost star fish and a cheeky bush turkey.  What a lovely way to spend Friday afternoon.
