There are a number of great ways to improve your knowledge of English grammar. In this blog we will look at the three best ways to make sure that your grammar is at the level that it needs to be at.
1. Read as much as possible
A lot of people don’t take the time to read, but this is a big mistake. Depending on the type of book you read, you will naturally come across all of the grammar rules in the English language. If you have already learned the grammar rule, reading will reinforce it in you mind. If you have not learned a rule, but come across it as you read, your mind will take in the rule and figure out the meaning subconsciously.

2. Buy a good grammar book
There are a lot of good books out there nowadays that make it very easy to understand how English grammar works. It can be very useful to have a grammar manual handy when you are reading a book or watching something on Netflix. Two of the best grammar guides are English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy and English Grammar Boot Camp by Ann Curzan.

3. Write more
Writing (along with speaking) is an output skill, as opposed to listening and reading, which are input skills. A combination of reading and writing will be a great way to have grammar coming into your brain, as well as going out of it. There are many different types of written text that can be used to improve your writing, including text messages, emails to family, and creative writing journals. Try to mix up the types of writing you use, so that you can practice using different levels of formality. This will also force you to use different grammatical structures.
