It was a very interesting week for our pre-intermediate students who discovered the cultural differences of being a guest in Australia compared to their home country. We looked at ‘obligation and rules’ as well as superlatives, which we thought was the most interesting point of all. https://inforum.com.au/blog/this-week-in-pre-intermediate/ https://inforum.com.au/blog/this-week-in-pre-intermediate/ https://inforum.com.au/blog/this-week-in-pre-intermediate/We discussed some lively vocabulary around sports and games and introduced ‘negative comments’, including why one code of football is better than another! After touching on ‘permission,’ we practiced what we had learned through conversation activities, and held a class competition to see which group could remember the most information. It was a gripping race between The Kings, The Whales, The Asia’s and The Koalas, all the way through to a nail-biting finale where The Whales took out the competition, winning a packet of Tim Tams as a result.
